Injury update...

I have been sleeping (resting) for the last 24hrs, as I was down with an eye infection. For a change I was feeling very fit, but was unable to run! Due to the infection have been on some eye drops and antibiotics (anti-inflammatory ones!), which has managed to sort of bring my eye back to normal. Plus the anti-inflammatory medication has helped me cure any minor muscle pains that I might have had.
Eagerly looking forward to tomorrow’s run, as I am totally rested and feeling really fit. Plus have been stuck in my room for the last 1.5days, so am waiting for my run tomorrow. Keeping my figures crossed, hope my eyes behave themselves and don't come between me and my run.

Thanks for the comments IPM.
Yes, I do take liquid and solid replenishments when i run for more than an hour (outdoors). I usually take Gatorade or Electral along with water during the run, esp. during summers (march onwards). And now a days I also have energy bars (which are rich in Carbs and proteins) along with Bananas after my long runs. I also have coffee after my run (but that is not really advicable as it tends to dehydrate the body).
Coming to your next question. Its better to follow a exercise routine, so that you dont overtrain or get bored of your routine. Plus, just plain running is not good enough, you need to cross train (cycle, swim or weight train) in addition to running. One should rest atleast twice a week, to give body time to recover.
In one of my previous posts I have written in detail about why I run. But basically its coz I enjoy running and it gives we some quality time with myself! As regards squeezing time, if you really like or want something, you will always find time for it. Its applicable for everybody.
Thanks a lot for your wishes, do keep coming back. G
